Supporting Neighbors Near and Far Since 1983

With faith as our driver, we believe part of our purpose—personally and as a company—is to take care of each other. Since 1983, John Shelton Plumbing has served the Alle-Kiski Valley and stepped up when neighbors near and far needed help. We support local charities, schools, and causes—and when disaster strikes, we bring the skills, tools, and time to help families and communities rebuild.

How We Give

Local support: donations, sponsorships, and in-kind service for community groups, schools, and events.
Disaster response: volunteer field work using our plumbing and construction experience to restore essential services.
Partnerships: collaborating with churches, nonprofits, and suppliers to multiply impact.

Henryville, Indiana — Tornado Relief

Soon after the tornado, our crew teamed up with a local partner, loaded chainsaws and tools, and spent a week clearing debris and assisting families. The goal was simple: make homes safe and accessible so rebuilding could begin.

Rainsville, Alabama — Tornado Relief

We traveled to a volunteer center that lacked adequate shower facilities. With donated materials from area plumbing suppliers and help from another local plumber, we built and installed showers so volunteers and displaced families had clean, reliable access to water.

Southern Haiti — Earthquake Recovery

Guided by a local missionary, we assisted an elementary school in one of the hardest-hit communities. Beyond repairs, we helped supply water filtration systems, food, and school and medical supplies for more than 200 students.

Bay St. Louis, Mississippi — Hurricane Katrina

During the long rebuild after Katrina, our team used decades of plumbing and construction experience to support homeowners and relief groups—restoring basic services, fixing critical lines, and helping families return home.

Why We Do This

Plumbing is essential—clean water, working drains, safe gas lines. In a crisis, those needs become urgent. Our team is licensed and insured, EPA certified, and trained to work safely under pressure. When we show up, we bring more than tools—we bring compassion, professionalism, and follow-through.
